The vault allows you to keep track of the firearms you own and get updates if the status of your firearm changes in your state, As well you can use the travel planner to see if its banned in states you will be traveling through.
We classify our firearms per state regulations, although it could be allowed in your state and banned in your county ( and vice versa ) , its up to you to check if its allowed in your county. For instance, Some firearms will say they are legal in the state of NY but they could be banned in NYC because they have added extra ordinances to their jurisdiction. Make sure you always consult with a legal team or a local FFL.
If the gun come with 2 different mag sizes and one is banned in the state does that still make it illegal? Yes, however some FFL’s will pin the restricted mag or ship the firearm without the mag to make it complaint. Always check your options.
We try to keep our database as accurate as possible but sometimes laws change or Approved Gun lists for some states update before we can update our database. If you notice a firearm is classified wrong in our database then use the report button to let us know. (requires an account and to be logged in)
